Wide Receiver Plaxico Burress Starts Career Over With the New York Jets
Plaxico Burress is starting over. Again.
After spending 20 months in prison for firing a gun inside of a New York nightclub, Burress signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the New York Jets.
The New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers (Burress' former teams) were also interested, but Burress ultimately chose the Jets.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He will join Santonio Holmes and Jericho Cotchery as Mark Sanchez's top wide receivers.
According to ESPN, Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum and owner Woody Johnson met with Burress back in 2009, right before Burress' pending jail sentence.
"It really meant a lot to me and my family, especially with all the events we had going on at that time," Burress said.
"For them to be there at that time, it really said a lot about them. I was really humbled by it ... To be able to come here and play for them, somebody who supported me through thick and just not thin, it meant a lot to me. I hope I can come here, play great and win a championship."
Burress will start practice on Thursday. He has a career 505 receiving yards and 55 touchdowns.
"God Thank You for life and for loving me unconditionally. Truly unbelieveable!!" he tweeted yesterday.
"East Coast here I come!"
