Steve Nash Video: Watch Nash's New Toyota Spot

David DanielsJun 7, 2018

Steve Nash is the funniest athlete in the world that the common sports fan doesn't know is funny. Brian Wilson, Shaquille O'Neal, Dwight Howard and Peyton Manning's personalities get all the hype, but Nash deserves to be in the same conversation of "most hilarious professional athlete."

Much of the time, like in this video, you don't even know it's a joke at first because of his straight face.  What looked like the average car commercial turned into Nash cutting off an old lady and dancing in front of her.

He isn't just a one-hit wonder though, folks.

"The Spokesman" series is priceless from his training to his photo shoot. He not only trains to dominate basketball players, but soccer players as well. And of course, there's his claim to being not the most interesting, but the most ridiculous man in the world.

Does this guy deserve a ring, or what?

Seven-time All-Star, seven-time All-NBA, two-time MVP, consistently averages over 10 assists a game and he's one of the best shooters ever if you factor in field-goal, three-point field-goal and free-throw percentages. Nash has shot more 50-40-90 seasons than any other player in league history.

Just like John Stockton couldn't get past the Chicago Bulls, Steve Nash has run into the West's trio of the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers at all the wrong times.  At the age of 37, he's running out of time, but he's not out just yet, as he still managed to average 14.7 points and 11.4 assists with not much talent around him last year in Phoenix.

Trading Nash does two things:

1. It gives him another shot at a ring, and

2. It helps the Suns rebuild for the future.

If Nash retires in Phoenix, they get nothing for him. With a championship out of reach, a trade is the best option for both sides.
