Jimmer Fredette Video: Watch Kings Fans Lose Their Minds over Future Backup

Jimmer Fredette arrived in Sacramento recently. For fans in Sac Town that have never seen anything other than a cow, this was quite the big deal. Continue reading for when I give Sacramento mad dap. 

The posted video shows the Kings newest acquisitions arriving in Sacramento.  Jimmer Fredette, Tyler Honeycutt and Isaiah Thomas all made their way through a throng of fans. 

The best part of the video was Thomas and Honeycutt thinking that any part of the fandom was for them. Kings fans love their players, but there wouldn't have been half the people in attendance if a certain Jimmer was absent. 

There is something polarizing about Fredette. He is already a top-ten basketball player in the NBA as far as popularity, and he hasn't even drained a three in a game yet. 

The display is both hilarious and sad. The funny part is that this gathering resembles a proven free agent getting into town.

It looks remarkably like Miami's reception to Shaquille O'Neal's arrival in 2004. Yet, this was a greeting for college players that have proved nothing at the next level yet. 

What makes me sad is that this city may be without their treasured Kings in a year. This is one of the best fan bases in the NBA. There is no other city that would have greeted prospects in this way. Despite my good-natured ribbing, Sacramento is a great town with a ton to offer the league. 

You can tell in the faces of every fan in the video just how much they love the game. It breaks my heart if they get their franchise ripped from them. 

I give Jimmer a hard time, but I really do hope he is the answer to the Kings' woes.
