2011 NBA Draft Order: 3-Team Trade Shakes Up Tonight's Draft Order
2011 NBA Draft Order Has Gone Through Massive Changes In the Past Couple of Hours
The madness has officially begun.
Earlier today, a three-team trade taook the draft order and flipped it on its head. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the deal, which involves Charlotte, Milwaukee and Sacramento, goes like this:
"Charlotte Gets:
Sacramento's first-round pick (seventh overall)
Corey Maggette
Milwaukee Gets:
Beno Udrih
Stephen Jackson
Shawn Livingston
Charlotte's first-round pick (19th overall)
Sacramento Gets:
John Salmons
Milwaukee's first-round pick (10th overall)
"
Needless to say, the Kings are the big losers in this deal.
Sacramento was nothing more than middle men to get this deal done, while the Bobcats and Bucks both got pieces of value in return. The Kings will likely be out of Kemba Walker territory with this pick, but there is a chance he slides.
If Walker is off the board, it opens the door for Jimmer Fredette, who would be a big name that might quell some of the outrage about this deal.
There is some question about what Charlotte will do with the seventh pick after this deal. Some reports suggest that Bismack Biyombo is the pick, and others that say Tristan Thompson is the guy for the Bobcats with their first selection.
Needless to say, this is utter chaos, and at this point, anything is possible after what has been floating around for the past few hours.
Now all we can do is sit back, wait and see.
