What's Next For The Heat

John Raymund VenturaJun 21, 2011

What's next for the uncrowned King?

Go apologize to the City of Cleveland.

To the City of Miami.

To your fans.

To your haters.

To everyone who thinks that anywhere you go, manna will fall from the sky like November rain.

After the Miami Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks 105-95 in Game 6, fans of both the Heat and LeBron James all had mixed emotions: and for the most part, it was all frustration. I guess James' "bringing his talent to South Beach" wasn't enough to give them another title.

No you did not.

Wade and James both struggled. They combined to shoot 15 of 31 from the field, but neither had that breakout performance needed to win. James started hot, scoring nine of the Heat's first 14 points. He then struggled in the second and third quarters. Wade never found his groove.

The Heat's offense sputtered once again. Too much standing around in halfcourt sets, and not enough fast break points. At some point, the offense is going to have to catch up to their defense.

Dirk proved to everyone that "choker" is no longer part of his status. James on the other hand did gasp for breathing space and for some reason or another, was not able to recover. On a slightly positive note, he started out hot.

That's about it.

I had been a big LeBron James fan when he was in Cleveland. But as I've said before, moving in with Miami was a huge mistake. I would've bet my below minimum salary if he chose to be with the Bulls. But as they say, every man deserves his right to decide.

I'm not a big D-Wade fan but I am a follower of Chris Bosh. It didn't really bothered me a lot when he decided to team up with Wade. Miami needed Bosh's talent and without saying anymore blah blah's, he's the third leading scorer of the team.

So what's next for the Miami Heat?

Get a damn good center.

And a true PG.
