Dallas Mavericks Celebration Video: Dallas Celebrates With Championship at Club

Brandon GalvinJun 13, 2011

The Dallas Mavericks didn’t just win the 2011 NBA Finals; they may have taken the souls of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in the process.

They drove the stake through their hearts and are already calling for people, including myself, to blow up the Big Three in some capacity.

The team was clearly emotional after winning, as most teams are, but this had some extra spice to the mix with the franchise’s first NBA Championship ever. Obviously, Dallas’ grand owner Mark Cuban was part of the celebration, and he was confident his team would close the deal in Miami.

“Adrian Ruhi says that Mark Cuban rented out the club and pre-purchased 250 hundred of bottles of champagne prior to Game 6 and that he probably rented out the club for Sunday and Tuesday night in case the series went seven games,” according to Larry Brown of Larry Brown Sports.

Cuban, with his first chance to call the Larry O’Brien trophy his own, took the gold to the club to live it up at Club LIV. Fittingly, the Mavericks sang We Are the Champions by Queen on center stage.

I wonder how much liquor was poured onto the trophy during this celebration. Apparently Lil Wayne was there, but I’d be more interested in seeing Dirk all liquored up.

The superstar was clearly emotionally drained following the victory, but we can all see the party animal in Dirk. This is a veteran team, and we know how the old timers can get down at the club. I can only imagine the mayhem that ensued during this celebration.

This is a well-deserved celebration as Dallas clearly became America’s team while battling the Heat. It was also fitting that the Mavericks won in Miami as they got to crush the hopes and dreams of Miami’s Big Three on their stage, which the majority of fans wanted to see.

Dallas’ parade is set to kick off within the next week, but I’m going to assume the celebration from Club LIV has yet to even stop as this will be a long-lived celebration for the Mavs.
