Shaquille O'Neal: Revisiting the Five Funniest Moments of the Diesel's Career
Shaquille O'Neal officially retired Friday, June 3, ending a 20-year career NBA fans will remember forever.
Shaq was one of the most dominant players in league history. His combination of size and strength was unmatched, but he combined that physical ability with incredible skill to form one of the greatest talents to ever grace a basketball court.
His name deserves mention among the greatest centers of all-time with Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, George Mikan, and Hakeem Olajuwon.
Some may choose to believe Russell and Wilt were better players than O'Neal, but no one can argue that Shaq had the superior personality.
Here are five of the funniest moments in the Shaq Diesel's, The Big Shaqtus', Wilt Chamberneezy's, The Big Baryshnikov's, whatever you want to call O'Neal's career...Shaq Vs. style:
4. Shaq vs. The Crowd
2 of 5O'Neal has physically abused hundreds of big men during his time in the NBA, but he always gets gentle with the fans, well, he tries to.
Again and again Shaq gives back to the fans...and Kwame Brown.
3. Shaq vs. Elie Seckbach
3 of 5If there was any reporter Shaq's personality came out the most with it was Elie Seckbach.
O'Neal and Seckbach could lighten the mood of even the most serious press conference with a "yo momma" joke.
2. Shaq vs. the All-Star Game
4 of 5O'Neal's hilarious personality couldn't come out during the intensity of the postseason, but during All-Star weekend, he could crack any straight face.
From dance offs to in-game role reversals, Shaq was the life of the party when all the stars came together.
1. Shaq vs. the Mic
5 of 5Virtually any time Shaq came in contact with a microphone, a great quote was about to be born.
You may have reacted like this when they heard the news of O'Neal's retirement. We may have lost his on-court performances forever, but he's definitely not done producing outside the lines.
