Jorge Pasada, Derek Jeter: Just Do Your Jobs!
All of this drama going on in Yankee land is ridiculous! Hey Jorge Posada, do your job! It’s that simple.
Posada has been a great Yankee, and has been part of four Yankee World Series Championship teams. He is a five-time All-Star, has won the Silver Slugger award five times and he and Yogi Berra are the only Yankee Catchers to hit 30 home runs in a season.
Now, for the harsh reality of the situation: In 2011, Posada is batting .165 and has no hits against left-handed pitching. That is a huge deal because he is a switch hitter and the Yankees count on him against lefties.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
As we all have heard by now, Posada was not happy when the Yankees made the long-time catcher a designated hitter to start the season and just recently was dropped to ninth in the batting order. Posada obviously took offense to this and pulled himself from the lineup before Saturday’s game against the Boston Red Sox, which seemed to aggravate the Yankees brass.
Now, apparently, Yankees captain Derek Jeter has taken offense to the responses by the Yankees. It’s no secret that Jeter and Posada are friends, so this probably comes as no surprise.
Here is my suggestion to Jeter: Shut up and do your job as well.
Jeter has his own set of problems, coming off a sub-par 2010 season (for Jeter that is) and then he tried to grind the Yankees for a six-year contract at 36 years old. The Yankees gave Jeter a three-year contract instead. This year, Jeter is batting .260 and can’t seem to hit anything hard. He is not anywhere near where he needs to be as the revered captain of the Yankees.
What is management supposed to do? It’s The New York Yankees they are supposed to win or contend for the championship every year.
The Yankees have lost five in a row, and just got swept by the hated Boston Red Sox. That alone is probably settling in Hank Steinbrenner and Brian Cashman’s stomachs like a carton of milk left in the sun for three days.
It looks to me as if they are handling it with as much class as they can. The Yankees, out of sheer respect are trying to wait this thing out and give these well-respected players every chance to get back on track. But how long are they expected to wait before they make a change.
Just like with the everyday working man, if you don’t do your job then you have to face the consequences. Posada and Jeter should not be exempt from that.
It’s a job, and these guys are not doing their jobs, so they shouldn’t get their feelings hurt when they are called out for not performing.
Just do your job guys!
I’m just saying!
