Taj Gibson Video Sees Bulls Forward Give Dwyane Wade an Unpleasant Coming-Home Present

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade made a lot of waves last summer when he opted to stay in Miami despite the pursuit of his hometown Chicago Bulls.

Out of Richards High School, Wade was basically a hometown hero before last offseason, giving time and money to the Chicago community in between his time on the floor with the Heat.

But Wade's reception on Sunday in Game 1 in Chicago wasn't very warm.

Beyond the various boos he received inside the arena, it only took a little more than a quarter to find himself posterized by a Bulls player amid cheers and jeers from the hometown crowd.

In the earlygoings of the second quarter, Wade found himself the lone defender on a two-on-one fastbreak featuring Bulls point guard C.J. Watson and forward Taj Gibson.

Now, it's safe to say Gibson is not a top dunker in the NBA, but Wade found out firsthand that he's still athletic, and he's still 6'9", 225 pounds of Raging Bull.

Off the dish from Watson, Wade put his hands up, apparently hoping Gibson would either flub a layup or be called for a charge.

Gibson did neither. He soared through the air like a LeBron James and hammered it home on Wade's head, knocking the veteran guard back in a state of bewilderment.

It was hard to tell what was louder in that moment, the cheers of Bulls fans or the ringing inside Wade's ears.

The only thing that would have been more crippling to Wade's confidence is if that other Chicago native, Derrick Rose, brought down a thunderous dunk atop him.

Hey, there's still time for that.
