NFL Predictions: What 5 Teams Will Fail Dramatically in the 2011 NFL Season?
We're in the midst of a locked out NFL offseason with an unclear future if there even will be football next year—we're all praying there will be.
If there is football next year, what teams will have very disappointing 2011 campaigns?
Here, I've selected five teams that will dramatically fail in 2011. Some of these predictions you will not agree on, but some of them make perfect sense to me.
If you disagree with one of my predictions, feel free to leave me some feedback—I'm always open for criticism!
I hope you all enjoy, and if one of these five teams happens to be your favorite team, then I am extremely sorry, but you're in for a rough 2011 season.

Buffalo Bills
1 of 5
The poor Buffalo Bills—no matter how much they improve and take positive steps forward, they're always going to be overshadowed in the AFC East thanks to the New England Patriots, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.
I absolutely love where the Bills are headed, but 2011 is simply too early for this team as they're not quite ready to win.
The Bills selected Marcell Dareus and Aaron Williams with their top picks in the 2011 draft, and I believe that both will be solid NFL players, but they're not going to single-handedly turn out the Bills organization.
Buffalo will be squaring off Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans and all their division rivals twice—definitely not an easy schedule.
Oakland Raiders
2 of 5
Will the Oakland Raiders ever make the playoffs? Hopefully, but not in 2011.
The Raiders fired head coach Tom Cable and promoted Hue Jackson, the team's former offensive coordinator.
Over the past five or so years, the Raiders have gone through several head coaches, and none of them have had a successful first year.
Prior to Jackson, Cable went 5-11 in 2009 as his first full year as head coach. Before Cable, there was Lane Kiffin, and he went 4-12 in his first season as head coach. And lastly, prior to Kiffin, there was Art Shell who went 2-14 in his first season as head coach. This is definitely not good news for Jackson.
The Raiders will likely lose their best player in Nnamdi Asomugha due to free agency, and their starting quarterback Jason Campbell has yet to impress.
I'm sorry Raider Nation, but your team is not going anywhere besides the cellar of the AFC West in 2011.
Carolina Panthers
3 of 5
The Carolina Panthers may have had the first overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft, but Cam Newton is not going to be a first-year impact kind of guy.
Sure, Newton could have a colorful NFL career as he's got loads of upside and potential, but he's not ready to be an NFL starting quarterback.
The Panthers, under first-year head coach Ron Rivera, will struggle in the very strong NFC South and will be at the bottom of the division all year long.
Carolina lacks solid and consistent play from nearly every position, and it may take a few years until the Panthers are ready to win.
Washington Redskins
4 of 5
Granted, Mike Shanahan is a two-time Super Bowl-winning head coach—but he won both games with solid play from the quarterback position thanks to John Elway.
Right now, the Washington Redskins have no answer at quarterback. However, the latest buzz out of Landover, Maryland is that the Shanahan will be favoring John Beck as the team's starting quarterback in 2011—really? Beck has only played five games in his NFL career and all of those games came in 2007, his rookie year.
There's no team that's more of a mess than the Washington Redskins. Shanahan has yet to put his "handprint" on the franchise, and until he does, it's going to be a tough time winning ball games in the NFC East.
Seattle Seahawks
5 of 5
I'm not sure that any team in the league drafted far more worse than the Seattle Seahawks.
Seattle selected James Carpenter in the first round—granted, he's a solid offensive line prospect, but he was projected to go in the mid-to-late second round. It was definitely a reach pick for the Seahawks.
The major concern with Seattle is their quarterback position. It's unclear if either Charlie Whitehurst or Matt Hasselbeck with be the starting quarterback in 2011 or possibly someone else.
Until the Seahawks get their quarterback dilemma straightened out, they will be a bad team in the worst division in football: the NFC West.
