2011 NFL Draft Results: Chiefs Get Their Big Play WR With Jonathan Baldwin
The Kansas City Chiefs knew they would have to select a wide receiver or two heading into tonight's NFL draft.
After trading their 21st overall pick to move down to the 27th pick, they got their wideout of the future.
Kansas City selected former Pittsburgh star Jonathan Baldwin with that pick, immediately bolstering a passing attack that ranked 30th in the league in yards in 2010.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Last year for Pitt, he had 822 receiving yard and 5 TDs, just a season removed from a 1,000 yard campaign during a breakout sophomore season in '09 for the Panthers.
Baldwin, standing at 6'5", is the big receiving threat the Chiefs need going forward, and should be able to provide an excellent security blanket for QB Matt Cassel.
As far as his skill-set, he is the full package for a wide receiver.
He has speed, physicality, great hands, and incredible leaping ability, which allows him to elevate for high throws.
The addition of Baldwin also means Pro Bowl receiver Dwayne Bowe should get more single coverage this season and beyond.
It also means Pioli and Co. are confident with Branden Albert starting at LT for at least the near future, as they passed on many solid left tackles to select Baldwin.
The Chiefs now have their Robin (Baldwin) to pair with Batman (Bowe).
With KC addressing their big WR need with their first-round pick, what will they do with the rest of their eight available picks.?
Will they draft another receiver?
Stay tuned tomorrow when the draft resumes at 6 pm eastern time to find out the next trick Pioli and the Chiefs brass have up their sleeve.
