NBA Playoffs 2011: San Antonio Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies Game 4 Live Blog
After coming into the 2011 NBA Playoffs with a 0-12 franchise record, the Memphis Grizzlies find themselves with a 2-1 series lead over the No. 1 seeded San Antonio Spurs.
The up-and-coming Grizzlies have the chance to take a commanding 3-1 series lead tonight in Game 4 at Memphis, and I expect them to come out with a lot of energy behind them.
Despite their youth, the Grizz remain humbled by their postseason success. Zach Randolph knows that may just be the key to winning this series: "It’s about winning the series and not let our heads get too big with this win and stay humble.”
After stealing Game 1 at San Antonio, the Spurs bounced back to take game 2 by the score of 93-87.
And with the series 1-1, Zach Randolph hit the game-clinching three with 41.9 seconds remaining in regulation to seal the victory for Memphis.
Fans should expect a renewed Spurs team to take the court, but the elbow injury to Manu Ginobili may be a bigger problem than the team is letting on, even though Tony Allen would tell you otherwise.
It should be fun to watch how things unfold on Monday night with the tip scheduled for 8:00 PM EST, and in a series which most took for granted, Memphis is looking to keep surprising the world.
