Portland Trail Blazers' Marcus Camby Cleared To Play vs. Washington Wizards

No matter what team you're rooting for, whether the game is being played or who your team is playing against, injury is something that all spectators hate to see.

Sunday night, in the Blazers' 84-80 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Marcus Camby went down with a right ankle injury late in the fourth quarter and had to be helped off of the court.

X-Rays came back negative and the medical staff for the Portland Trail Blazers have cleared him to play on Tuesday against the Washington Wizards.

Should Camby play or not? What do you think?

Should Camby play against the Wizards and possibly risk aggravating his already injured right ankle, or should he sit out and let LaMarcus Aldridge start at center?

• Portland is currently sixth in the West, half of a game in front of the New Orleans Hornets and 1.5 games in front of the Memphis Grizzlies.
• The Trail Blazers have six tough games coming up. They will play the San Antonio Spurs twice, the Oklahoma City Thunder twice, the New Orleans Hornets and the Dallas Mavericks, all within an eight-day time period.
• John Wall is an electrifying inside scorer. Without a defensive presence like Camby guarding the paint, he could easily go for 30 and upset the Blazers in a game that we need to win.
• The Blazers will need Camby on the inside if they want to make a run at the championship this season. Without him, teams like the Lakers and the Mavericks will have a myriad of points in the paint.
