Dwyane Wade Dunk Video: Miami Heat Star Welcomes Kendrick Perkins to Miami

Brandon GalvinMar 16, 2011

Ladies and gentleman: Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat closer, is proud to close the discussion regarding the top play of the 2010-11 NBA season on March 16!

Wow.

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up from off the floor.

So this season may not be going as smooth as Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh may have pictured when they first teamed up together in July, but Wade is still showing everybody that he is the smoothest cat on the court.

Just look at the way he bobs, weaves and slices through the defense. At this point in his career, it’s become his patented maneuver.

He, for the most part, manages to always get through the defense unscathed.

On this particular night, Wade is in rare, slicing-and-dicing, high-flying form. Just look how quick he is to attack the baseline and then spin back towards the middle of the paint.

His ball-handling skills—fantastic.

His quickness—remarkable.

His vision—uncanny.

His elevation—out of this world!

I’m sorry, Mr. Kendrick Perkins, aren’t you supposed to be one of the most feared post defenders in the game? Weren’t you going to be the thunderous power behind the Thunder’s defense?

Perhaps you’re just saving that for the Western Conference?

D-Wade just rocked your world with this thunderous rim-shaker that will be on posters, in stores by the end of the week and plastered all over desktop wallpapers by the end of the night.

The best part isn’t even the quickness, spin, elevation or lovely sound of the ball being pummeled through the basket with insane power—it’s the awesome cabbage patch dance that Wade unleashes as the crowd sends echoes through the arena.

Wade and “The Heatles” are preparing for a ground-breaking performance this postseason and we’re the lucky witnesses.

I just watched Wade’s epic eye-popping dunk again—please excuse me, as I must leave to the emergency room for immediate assistance to put my eyeballs back into their sockets.
