UConn Huskies Freshman Jeremy Lamb: The Unknown You Need To Know
Ever since the era of the phenom freshman, there is a lot of shade thrown college players' way when they do not perform like Kevin Durant, John Wall or Jared Sullinger.
We, as the fans and media, refuse to sit back on the sidelines and give athletes time to grow as they have in the past.
Thankfully, UConn freshman Jeremy Lamb takes the criticism in stride and has been improving this intense college season, where anything goes and anyone can win.
Lamb began the season with an impressive 11 points, five rebounds, two blocks and two steals against Stony Brook, which really was not saying much. Then as his contributions began to dwindle, so did his playing time and people were beginning to wonder if his first college career start had been nothing but a fluke.

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Apparently, he caught wind of all the speculation because he showed up and showed up in a big way.
Since his slump towards the beginning, he has put up double-digit point totals nine times, five of which have come most recently against two top-25 teams in Villanova (14) and Louisville (21). As his game becomes more consistent and his team realizes that he is as much of a scoring threat as Kemba Walker and Shabazz Napier, his release will become polished and his field goal percentage will sky rocket.
But, while the rest of his team is taking their time realizing his potential, defenders are becoming privy to it and are going to play the rest of the season with three clutch performers in mind.
Since this is the case, Lamb needs to work on his ball control and speed in transition as well as ball movement. He may not be freshman of the year, but he is definitely not one to be ignored with the shot clock starts winding down.
