Miami Heat's 4th Quarter Lineup Against Oklahoma City Thunder Might Be Ideal

KarlJan 30, 2011

I really like the Miami Heat lineup we saw in the fourth quarter in the excellent win against Oklahoma City Thunder.  I won't bother to spell out positions, because this lineup features a lot of versatile players with length who can perform multiple functions.

I'm talking about Joel Anthony (6'9"), Chris Bosh (6'11"), LeBron James (6'8"), Mike Miller (6'8") and Dwyane Wade (6'4").  Don't bother asking who the point guard is, or just say it's a no point guard lineup.  But these guys give Spoelstra a lot of options for defensive matchups: They can rebound, and they can hit shots.

If need be, you could go with Z or Dampier for length or muscle, but I've been loving Anthony's quickness defending tall scorers like Stoudemire, plus switching to pick up against penetration.  The guy hustles and doesn't care about his numbers.

Mike Miller is starting to look like himself, and I'm loving that too.  Yeah, he can knock down three's with the best of them and that's really important with this lineup, but he's a great rebounder as well.  Miller's a really solid player overall.

I won't bother to talk about the big three's strengths.

I just really like this lineup, in which most of the players are basically the same height, and they can all do a lot of things.  What do you think?
