2011 Senior Bowl: 10 Players Who Impressed On Day Two
I'm here live at the Senior Bowl, and while it's been a long first three days of the bowl week with practices, there is still a lot to be determined with some of the top prospects in this draft class attending the Senior Bowl.

10. Mason Foster, OLB, Washington (North)
1 of 10
Foster showed good fluidity in coverage today and really shows his versatility as a prospect, as he also played defensive end at one point in his college career.
He got to his depths well and continued that in 11-on-11s and really looked like one of the best linebackers in today's practice. He'll need to keep it up to get closer to the middle to the top of the second round.
9. Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State (South)
2 of 10
With Nate Solder, Anthony Castanzo and Gabe Carimi looking a bit stiff and slow and a little too tall to be a consistent lock to play left tackle this week for North, the safest left tackle in this class looks like Derek Sherrod.
He looked impressive today, and when I talked to him, he had a good understanding of the game. He's a smart kid. He should build off of today and the rest of the week to maybe push him up the board at left tackle.
8. Vincent Brown, WR, San Diego State (North)
3 of 10
Brown was the feature player of the North roster yesterday as he proved to be the North's most reliable receiver and the all-around most impressive. He looks quick in and out of his cuts, and he has been a solid deep threat.
I saw that the Browns and Bears both took strong interest after practice today, and he's likely moving up boards quickly here.
7. Brandon Fusco, C, Slippery Rock (North)
4 of 10
Coming into this game, Brandon Fusco needed to prove he could stick with the FBS tackles in terms of technique and, so far, he's been able to pick up quickly what the coaches are teaching him and has won a lot of battles against interior lineman.
He was also a great interview, a humble kid, and he's worked and improved over the course of this week.
6. Luke Stocker, TE, Tennessee (South)
5 of 10In terms of being a receiving tight end, which NFL teams are always looking for, Stocker was ultra-impressive. Coach Chan Gailey told me that his routes have needed work, but he's a fast learner and has improved so far this week.
Coach Gailey also said that "if you can't hit Stocker, then you have bad accuracy." So obviously even the struggling South QBs haven't hurt Stocker's stock at all.
5. Jeremy Kerley, WR, TCU (South)
6 of 10
Kerley was overshadowed a bit today because of how dominant two other South receivers were, but he is explosive in and out of his routes and his deep speed has made him a great target down the field.
But his ability to consistently catch passes away from his body has shown that maybe he can play outside if need be, and his routes aren't far behind. The Ravens seemed awfully interested and it makes sense for them to target a playmaker like him.
4. Christian Ballard, DT, Iowa (North)
7 of 10
Another guy slightly overshadowed today by another defensive lineman, Ballard was impressive in his own and won battles at end and tackle all day.
Ballard told me that the Chargers, Eagles and Vikings all were very interested, and all make sense as he can play 5-technique, 3-technique or outside at end in a 4-3 defense.
3. Courtney Smith, WR, South Alabama (South)
8 of 10
Playing in his home stadium (first South Alabama player ever to do so), Smith has sure made the most of it. At 6'4", 220 pounds, he's been able to win jump ball battles, blow past cornerbacks and has run efficient routes.
He had some drops and coach Chan Gailey was quick to point that out, but he talked a lot about how he's a "raw talent" and had great "potential."
2. Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami (FL) (South)
9 of 10
Such a well-schooled, complete receiver, the only thing it seems that is holding Hankerson from being a first-round lock is his deep speed, but he was quoted as saying he's anticipating running in the low 4.4s.
He pushed hard in his routes, gained separation very easily all day and only had one drop all day. He's very impressive and a lot of teams, especially the Seahawks, were interested today after practice.
1. Cameron Jordan, DE, California (North Roster)
10 of 10
Cam Jordan made himself a lot of money today. After practice he was swamped with interviews and NFL teams wanting to talk to him.
He was using his hands outstandingly well all day, was quick off the snap and beat Castanzo, Carimi, every guard, and mostly beat Nate Solder all day long. He should be safely in the first round, with the top 15 not out of the question if he can keep this up.
