NBA Rumors: A Few Trades Involving Melo That Would Work Well For The Knicks

All indications point to Carmelo Anthony joining the Knicks sometime this season, or during the summer.  Bringing Carmelo into New York would be great for the city, fans, and of course the team.  Melo would give the Knicks a load of talent along with Stoudamire and Felton, and would certainly help them compete for a championship for many years to come.

Deal Between The Knicks, Nuggets, and Cavaliers

This deal involves the Knicks getting Daniel Gibson, a back up point guard, which the Knicks really need in order to provide some rest for Raymond Felton.

Knicks receive: Carmelo Anthony, Daniel Gibson, Samardo Samuels

Nuggets receive: Antawn Jamison, Wilson Chandler, Eddy Curry

Cavs receive: Al Harrington, Toney Douglas, Kelenna Azubuike

Deal Between the Knicks, Bobcats and Nuggets

This trade would be great for Denver.  They would get the most talent that they can in return for Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups and Al Harrington.

Knicks get: Carmelo Anthony, Al Harrington, Sherron Collins

Bobcats get: Wilson Chandler, Anthony Randolph, Chauncey Billups

Nuggets get: Gerald Wallace, D.J. Augustin, Kelenna Azubuike, Eddy Curry

Deal Between the Knicks, Nuggets and T-Wolves

There have been rumors that Kevin Love would like to be traded from Minnesota.  The Timberwolves would obviously want a lot in return for him.  A guy like Nene would be a great replacement.  I came up with this:

Knicks receive: Al Harrington, Carmelo Anthony

Timberwolves receive: Nene, Anthony Randolph, Toney Douglas

Nuggets receive: Jonny Flynn, Kevin Love, Wilson Chandler, Eddy Curry

The Knicks need a good scorer coming off the bench.  Omir Casspi would be a nice pick up for New York, along with Carmelo Anthony.  Carl Landry has also come up in trade rumors.  I came up with something that benefits all three of these teams.  Here it is.

Knicks receive: Carmelo Anthony, Omir Casspi

Nuggets receive: Eddy Curry, Wilson Chandler, Anthony Randolph, Carl Landry

Kings receive: Toney Douglas, Al Harrington, third round pick from the Knicks

This trade provides a spark off the bench for the Knicks in Jodie Meeks, who can score. A decent center in Marreese Speights and, of course....Carmelo Anthony.  Here's what I came up with.

Knicks receive: Carmelo Anthony, Jodie Meeks, Marreese Speights

Sixers receive: Wilson Chandler, J.R. Smith, Anthony Randolph and Bill Walker

Nuggets receive: Andre Iguodala, Toney Douglas, Eddy Curry, first round pick from the Knicks

As you can see, all these trades involve Carmelo Anthony because that's the main target for the Knicks this season.  These trades also provide other important pieces for the Knicks that would help them in the playoff race.
