LeBron James, Miami Heat, Tweets, Must Be Followed or Else Karma Will Get You

Brandon GalvinJan 12, 2011

On July 8, 2010, LeBron James announced to the world live on ESPN in a one hour televised special that he would be leaving his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers and taking his talents to the sunny beaches of South Beach to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat.

Since then, LeBron James has been, for the most part, the most hated man in all of sports.

People said he ruined his legacy.

People said he betrayed Cleveland, Ohio.

He was labeled a villain.

At first, James was disheartened by it all. Since then, he has even stated he would have chosen to do things a bit differently.

Nonetheless, James did what he did and he is now a Miami Heat.

Over the course of this season, he has embraced this role as the most hated man in sports. He states that he now enjoys playing the role of the bad guy or the villain.

James is focused and determined to win a championship. He is focused and determined on remaining the best player in the NBA. He is currently gunning for his third-straight MVP award and at this point, is one of the leading candidates.

His talent superseded everyone else in the NBA when he was everyone’s hero. Now that he has a chip on his shoulder, the sky is truly the limit for this talent of all-time epic proportions.

Yet LeBron is now relentless in his pursuit to remain the most hated man in the NBA. It’s one thing to accept the role; it is another to fuel it.

Following the Cleveland Cavaliers 55-point defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers January 11, “King James” tweeted, “Crazy. Karma is a b****.. Gets you every time. Its not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!”

Really, LeBron?

Is that necessary?

Is that called for?

Maybe it was necessary and called for by LeBron.

But it’s a pointless dig at your old team and fan base.

If James is mad or upset at the way things were handled after he left by his former team, then so be it.

Yet, this tweet is out of line.

To me, it’s out of line since he had nothing to do with the game.

How exactly is karma getting the Cavaliers for a 55-point road loss to one of the top teams in the league led by a man people claim is better than you in Kobe Bryant?

I don’t get it.

I’d rather “King James” tweet something like this after he single-handedly beat the Cavaliers down by 55 points. Now that might be a tweet I follow.

Instead, James made himself look foolish with his tweet since he didn’t even participate in the game or have anything to do with it.

Oh, were you just intently watching that game as a Cavalier hater?

Or perhaps you were watching it as a Los Angeles Lakers fan?

Maybe since your Heat beat the Lakers on Christmas Day by 16 points, that means your Heat should then beat the Cavaliers by 71 points the next time they arrive in South Beach to take on your talents.

Yeah, your Heat may have two wins against this lowly Cleveland team you deserted, but the last time they arrived in Miami you only beat them by six-points. I’ll do the math here, that’s 49 less points than the Lakers beat them by.

Looks like you once again have some big shoes to fill. Next time you take on Cleveland, I’m expecting the Heat to blow them out by at least 56 points.

Seriously, LeBron, this one was just silly.

Remember, karma is a two-way street.
