Ryan Mallett to Declare for 2011 NFL Draft, What Teams Will Be Interested?
Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett will declare for the 2011 NFL Draft, according to the school. He could be the best quarterback in this year's class, with Andrew Luck staying at Stanford.
Mallett possesses good accuracy, arm strength and seems to be the one quarterback that is ready to step into the NFL right away.
There are plenty of teams that could use the former Arkansas standout, but who will be interested?
Here is my list of teams that could show interest in Mallett.

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals need a franchise quarterback beginning in 2011, after Derek Anderson did not do so well.
John Skelton and Max Hall are young quarterbacks on the roster, but they do not have near the skill set of Ryan Mallett.
Pro Bowl receiver Larry Fitzgerald and the other Cardinals targets need a quarterback who can throw the football down the field and be accurate at the same time.
A good draft by the Cardinals could result in a return to the playoffs in a wide open NFC West.
San Francisco 49ers

Another NFC West team in need of a quarterback is the San Francisco 49ers. Their disappointing 2010 season was led by horrific play at the quarterback position.
Ryan Mallett could step right in for a team that has offensive talent such as Vernon Davis, Michael Crabtree and Frank Gore.
Mallett doesn't have to be the savior his first year, but he can make strides throughout his rookie year by leading this young 49ers team to the playoffs.
Minnesota Vikings

The Brett Favre era is over in Minnesota, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. A new quarterback is needed to lead the franchise and the answer can be found through the draft.
Ryan Mallett could be a very nice fit with the Vikings offense, especially if the rumors are true that pass-happy offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels could be joining the team.
Receivers Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin would love his gun-slinging mentality, while Adrian Peterson could keep the balance in Minnesota.
Tennessee Titans

The Titans let the NFL world know that the Vince Young era is over, presumably meaning a new quarterback will be found in the offseason.
Mallett could be the answer to the Titan's struggles this past season. Mallett, unlike Young, is a known pocket passer who can take demand of a good portion of the Tennessee offense.
Having Kenny Britt as a major deep threat and the fast Chris Johnson in the backfield could make Mallett comfortable, not only in his rookie season, but in the long term as well.
Washington Redskins
5 of 5
The Donovan McNabb era will likely be over in Washington, with Mike Shanahan and the Redskins likely turning to the draft to find their quarterback of the future.
Ryan Mallett could be an option that interests the coaching staff. Obviously, his ability to be accurate and to be able to push the ball down the field could improve his chances of heading to Washington.
However, Mallett took on a leadership role in his final year at Arkansas. He is improving his questionable character issues, so that is a positive that Shanahan could be considering.
