Jim Harbaugh To Talk To Broncos: Future of Tim Tebow Up in the Air

Old AccountJan 3, 2011

The speculation of Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh continues as he is expected to meet with John Elway about the Denver Broncos opening along with the possibility of luring in quarterback Andrew Luck as well.

Harbaugh continues to be the most popular coaching candidate right now, with many teams interested in his services as head coach.

The three leading candidates are the San Francisco 49ers, the University of Michigan, and the Denver Broncos.

Elway will be appointed this week as the vice president of football operations, meaning he is being counted on to bring glory to the Broncos once again.

There are many questions facing the entire organization, but first a head coach needs to be found. Jim Harbaugh could be the guy to do it.

Like his brother John ( head coach of the Ravens), Jim Harbaugh runs a pro-style offense currently at Stanford. Jim also seems to have more knowledge of how to run an offense and has been putting together solid defensive units.

With many options to consider, the Broncos could be the most interesting for Harbaugh. If Harbaugh does make the leap to becoming an NFL coach, it would be in his best interests to have Andrew Luck join him where ever he goes.

The Broncos own the second pick in the draft, and with Carolina likely looking at other needs Denver is put in a great position to draft Luck.

If Harbaugh becomes the new Broncos coach and Luck is drafted, the biggest question remains on the future of Tim Tebow.

Tebow was the 2009 first round pick, and did show some potential during the last few games of the regular season.

Broncos ownership was rumored to be not the biggest fans of the decision, and if Andrew Luck is on the board we should expect to see Luck become a Bronco.

If NFL fans thought the Tebow talk would be dead for six months, it could be back in strong force depending on the new head coach and the 2011 NFL Draft a few months away.
