Houston Rockets vs. Miami Heat Live Blog: Can Houston Topple Miami's Big Three?
Come join us at 8:30 ET to watch the Miami Heat visit the Toyota Center for an inter-conference battle that is sure to please.
Coming off a tough win against the Knicks, Miami will face perhaps its toughest foe over the next three weeks, the Houston Rockets.
With defensive stoppers in Courtney Lee, Shane Battier, and Chuck Hayes, the Rockets have enough defensive talent to potentially slow down the "Big Three."
The only question will be whether they can slow down them enough to keep up with perhaps the most athletic team in the league.
On to the projected lineups:
Point Guard
Carlos Arroyo v. Kyle Lowry
Arroyo is playing his best basketball of his career, but the edge has to go to the Rockets with one of the league's toughest point men in Kyle Lowry.
Edge: Rockets
Shooting Guard
Dwyane Wade v. Kevin Martin
Kevin Martin is a tremendous scorer, but Dwyane Wade is a top two shooting guard who can be stopped by nobody.
Edge: Heat
Small Forward
LeBron James v. Shane Battier
Definitely the match-up to watch, Shane Battier has been successful in slowing down LeBron in the past and tonight we will see if it continues.
Edge: Heat
Power Forward
Chris Bosh v. Luis Scola
Chris Bosh has played better as of late, but is still enduring a down year by his standards, while Luis Scola is having his best year as a pro.
Edge: Even
Center
Chuck Hayes v. Zydrunas Ilgauskas
When given a size advantage, Ilgauskas can play well. While Hayes will likely be matched up against Bosh, look for Ilgauskas to hurt the Rockets on the boards.
Edge: Heat
Bench
Mario Chalmers, Mike Miller, James Jones, Joel Anthony, Erick Dampier, and Juwan Howard v. Aaron Brooks, Courtney Lee, Chase Budinger, Terrence Williams, Jordan Hill, and Brad Miller
The Rockets have one of the deepest benches in the league and should have the advantage over the veteran bench of Miami.
Edge: Houston
We'll see you at 8:30!
