Yao Ming Injury Could End Career: Power Ranking Best Games For Houston Rockets
You've got to feel for Yao Ming.
The former-All-Star center of the NBA's Houston Rockets already was struggling with a broken foot, but now it has been reported that an MRI revealed that he also has a stress fracture in his left ankle.
Unfortunately, this could be the end of the 7'6", 310-pound Chinese center's career.
With that in mind, let's take time to reflect on Yao's best games.
Honorable Mention: Game 1 Western Conference Semifinals, 2009, Vs. L.A. Lakers
1 of 12
Result: Houston 100, L.A. Lakers 92
Stats: 40:23 minutes, 9/17 FG, 10/10 FT, 28 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks
Not Yao's best statistical game of the year, but he stepped it up in a huge game, leading the Rockets to a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference semifinals.
The pressure-packed situation merits an honorable mention for this game.

10 of 12
Result: Houston 114, Toronto 102
Stats: 33 mins, 13/16 FG, 14/18 FT, 40 points, 10 rebounds
Forty points on 16 shots? How's that for efficiency? And it was in only 33 minutes.

11 of 12
Result: Houston 123, Atlanta 121 (3OT)

Sure, it took him 50 minutes, but his 41 points and 7 assists were career-highs and he led the Rockets to a thrilling triple OT win.
The best game of Yao's illustrious career.
