Derrick Rose Crossover Videos:The Chicago Bull Owning Tyreke Evans and Others
Derrick Rose is truly blossoming into a superstar.
The 22-year-old Chicago Bulls floor general is elevating his game in his third season, averaging 26.6 points and 8.2 assists per game and garnering MVP consideration.
He truly carried the Bulls on his shoulders during a difficult Circus Trip and helped them to a 4-3 record, the best post Michael Jordan mark.
After missing Friday's game with a neck injury, D-Rose got called to start Saturday against the Sacramento Kings and answered it with an exclamation point.
Rose was unstoppable, scoring 11 points in the first quarter, making sweet finger roll shots and lobbing a full court pass to small forward Kyle Korver for an easy bucket en route to 30 points, 7 boards and 7 assists.
The most impressive thing about Rose Saturday was when he displayed his crossover dribble drive skills on Sacramento's Tyreke Evans.
With under four minutes left in the game and the Bulls up 85-83, Rose drove from the top of the key into the scoring lane.
Evans, the 2009-2010 Rookie of the Year and a future star point guard in his own right, came up to defend Rose.
Derrick evaded Evans with a left crossover dribble so fast that it made Evans lose his footing and spiral to the ground. An easy layup resulted from the play.
Now, Rose made a nice play but it is amplified on who he made it on. Evans is a tough defender who looked as if he didn't belong in the NBA.
Rose is one of the best one-on-one players in the league and utilizes a strong crossover to consistently pass defenders to the hoop. That crossover on Evans is only a testament to Rose's immense offensive abilities which only continue to blossom.
