NBA Fantasy Basketball: Yesterday's Notable Performances

Ryan LesterNov 27, 2010

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

J.J. Redick, Orlando Magic

Redick had another solid game filling in for Vince Carter. He scored 15 points (5-of-11 FG, 2-of-2 FT, 3-of-6 3PM) with 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. He’s averaging 15.3 points in his past three games.

Chase Budinger, Houston Rockets

Budinger scored 19 points (6-of-15 FG, 4-of-4 FT, 3-of-8 3PM) with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. He doesn’t get enough opportunities to contribute.

Linas Kleiza, Toronto Raptors

Kleiza scored 18 points (7-of-15 FG, 3-of-6 FT, 1-of-4 3PM) with 7 rebounds and an assist. He remains far too inconsistent.

Shaquille O’Neal, Boston Celtics

Shaq scored 16 points (5-of-5 FG, 6-of-8 FT) with 9 rebounds, an assist, a steal, and 2 blocks. He’s averaging 14.6 points and 8.4 rebounds in his past five games.

Glen Davis, Boston Celtics

Big Baby scored 18 points (8-of-16 FG, 2-of-3 FT) with 4 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and a block.  He’s not producing like he was earlier in the season, but he has his moments.

Ersan Ilysova, Milwaukee Bucks

Ilyasova scored 14 points (5-of-11 FG, 3-of-4 FT, 1-of-3 3PM) with 11 rebounds, an assist, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. As long as he can log 30-plus minutes, he’ll be a solid fantasy option.

Jodie Meeks, Philadelphia 76ers

Meeks scored 21 points (8-of-13 FG, 5-of-8 3PM) with 2 assists, and a steal. He can score in bunches, but he seldom gets enough opportunities.

Carlos Arroyo, Miami Heat

Arroyo scored 17 points (6-for-9 FG, 2-for-2 FT, 3-for-4 3PM) with 2 rebounds, an assist, and a steal. He doesn’t get enough looks to be a fantasy option.

Thabo Sefolosha, Oklahoma City Thunder

Sefolosha scored 13 points (4-for-6 FG, 4-for-4 FT, 1-for-2 3PM) with 10 rebounds and an assist. He’s averaging 11 points and 7 rebounds in his past four games.

Shawn Marion, Dallas Mavericks

Marion scored 19 points (8-for-12 FG, 3-for-5 FT) with 3 rebounds and a steal. He’s a far cry from the fantasy option he once was.

George Hill, San Antonio Spurs

Hill scored 21 points (6-for-11 FG, 8-for-8 FT, 1-for-2 3PM) with 3 rebounds and 3 steals. He’s averaging 14.3 points in his past three games.

Brian Cook, Los Angeles Clippers

Cook scored 16 points (6-for-9 FG, 4-for-5 3PM) with 10 rebounds, an assist, and a block. Great game, but he’ll have to do it again to be trusted.

Ryan Gomes, Los Angeles Clippers

Gomes scored 20 points (8-for-13 FG, 1-for-2 FT, 3-for-4 3PM) with 3 rebounds and an assist. He combined for 11 points in his previous four games so I’m not impressed just yet.

Hakim Warrick, Phoenix Suns

Warrick scored 25 points (6-for-13 FG, 13-for-14 FT) with 6 rebounds and a steal. He’s averaging 17.3 points in his past four games.

C.J. Watson, Chicago Bulls

With Derrick Rose out, Watson scored 33 points (11-for-22 FG, 9-for-12 FT, 2-for-4 3PM) with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Rose (neck) is likely to miss at least another game so Watson is a good short-term fix.

Ty Lawson, Denver Nuggets

With Chauncey Billups out Lawson scored 17 points (7-for-14 FG, 3-for-6 FT) with a rebound, 3 assists, and a steal. He’s averaging 15.3 points in his past three games.

Willie Green, New Orleans Hornets

Green scored 19 points (7-for-11 FG, 3-for-4 FT, 2-for-4 3PM) with a steal. He’s not a great fantasy option.
