Carmelo Anthony's Last Game In Denver Vs. Chicago Bulls?
With the recent struggles of the Miami Heat stealing all the headlines in the NBA, the media seems to have forgotten that Carmelo Anthony still wants out of Denver.
The New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls are the two teams he wants to join, according to many insiders around the NBA.
In September, the Bulls were approached by Denver for a deal that would give them Carmelo in exchange for Jokaim Noah, Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, and draft picks.
Bulls general manager Gar Forman refused, and signed Joakim Noah to a 5 year, 60 million dollar extension in October.
Derrick Rose has taken over the Chicago Bulls this season as Carlos Boozer has missed the first month with a broken hand. Joakim Noah continues to produce double-doubles consistently and has become an all-star center this season with his improved passing and jump shooting.
Yet, the Bulls have lacked a viable third option with Boozer out, and they may need to acquire Anthony in order to get past the Celtics and Magic in the East.
At the end of the day, Carmelo Anthony is worth acquiring.
As a perennial All-Star, top-five scorer, and solid all-around player, Mello can go toe-to-toe with Lebron James in the Eastern Conference and can take the Bulls back to the NBA Finals.
However, the Bulls cannot afford to lose Joakim Noah, due to his strong rebounding skills and low-post presence.
The Bulls game in Denver will likely be their last against Mello in the Mile High city and—hopefully—the last time Chicago fans ever see Carmelo in anything but a Bulls uniform.
