Pau Gasol's Triple-Double Leads Lakers Over Blazers
Well, the Los Angeles Lakers took care for their first major test of the season.
The Lakers beat the Portland Traiblazers 121-96, with Pau Gasol netting a triple-double: 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. The game was pretty much decided by halftime, with the Lakers leading by 22 points.
Kobe Bryant wasn't even playing his "A" game.
Lamar Odom again had a solid outing with 21 points and 12 rebounds. This is also one of the rare games where Odom leads the team in scoring and field-goal attempts. If you ask me, I like Odom's play this start of the season: double-doubles and all-around play.
The Lakers are now 7-0 and they are leading the league in the winning column. But, I see another Western Conference Player of the Week recognition for Pau Gasol.
Technorati: Los Angeles Lakers
