NFL Injury Recap: DeSean Jackson and Sunday's Other Biggest Scares
Week 6 in the NFL was full of more serious injuries than I can remember in one weekend of action.
Several key players went down with crippling injuries, including WR DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Detroit Lions were hit especially hard this week, losing backup QB Shaun Hill and LB Zack Follett to scary injuries.
Elsewhere around the league, WR Mohamed Massaquoi was hurt by Steelers LB James Harrison on a hit that will almost certainly draw a fine from the league, and RB Joseph Addai had to leave the Colts' victory over the Redskins on Sunday night with an injury.
With all these injuries, let's take a look at how these players are doing this morning.
Joseph Addai
1 of 5
Addai left in the fourth quarter of the Colts' 27-24 victory over the Redskins last night with an apparent injury to his right shoulder.
Addai, who was already listed as questionable for last night's game, lost a fumble when LB London Fletcher delivered a shot to his right shoulder.
Addai left the game after that hit and did not return.
While the Colts have yet to issue an update on Addai's health, the Colts are heading into a bye week, so his loss won't immediately impact the team.
On the bright side, backup RB Donald Brown is expected to return to the Colts lineup after the bye. So, Addai's workload will likely go down even if he is deemed healthy enough to play.
Mohamed Massaquoi

After getting leveled by James Harrison on Sunday, Massaquoi apparently sustained a neck injury and had some memory loss.
That's never a good sign for an NFL player.
Beginning to suffer memory loss is the sign of a very serious concussion. Massaquoi should be out for a couple weeks at the very least.
If doctors deem Massaquoi healthy enough to play next week against the Saints, it should draw even more questions to the NFL's concussion policy.
Shaun Hill

Shaun Hill left Sunday's game against the Giants after breaking his left forearm.
Hill will likely be out for a few weeks, but it won't be a season-ending injury.
Hill's loss won't hurt the Lions as much as it appears.
Detroit has a bye week this week, and when they play its next game on Halloween, Matthew Stafford is expected to return.
Plus, third-string QB Drew Stanton showed he is a more than capable backup on Sunday, throwing for 222 yards and a touchdown.
Zack Follett

In the scariest injury of Sunday afternoon, Detroit Lions backup linebacker Zack Follett was injured while covering a kickoff against the Giants.
Follett was lying motionless on the ground for a few minutes after the injury, and had to be carted off the field.
This morning, however, there is good news for Follett and the Lions family. Follett, who was held overnight in a New Jersey hospital, has feeling in all of his extremities.
That's a very good sign for Follett. While he most likely won't play for a few weeks, if not the rest of the season, it's a promising prognosis for his future NFL career.
DeSean Jackson

In Sunday's 31-17 victory against the Falcons, Eagles WR DeSean Jackson was knocked out of the game with a severe concussion.
Falcons CB Dunta Robinson and Jackson collided violently early in the second quarter. Both players laid on the field for several minutes after the hit.
While Robinson appears to be doing fine this morning, Jackson suffered memory loss and could be (and should be) out of the Eagles lineup for at least a couple weeks.
Jackson had two early touchdown catches before the injury occurred.
