The Top 10 Professional Athletes You Want on Your Side in a Bar Fight
We have all been at bars watching sporting events and seen or been involved in a bar fight, so who are the Top Professional Athletes you want on your side in a Bar fight?
In order to keep this list more diverse, I limited my self to only 2 professional fighters and tried to involve a variety of different sports athletes. I did not base my choice on just size, I took into account attitude and overall desire to not take anything from anyone.
#10: LeGarrette Blount
1 of 10
We all know about Blount, who knocked a Boise State player to the ground at the end of game last year. What's most impressive about Bloun'ts famous punch, is the fact that he showed no fear when throwing the punch right in front of the entire Boise State team. This is the kind of sheer heart and determination I like to see in a fighter. Oh and if anyone questioned if Blount's punch was a fluke, he threw another dandy while he was at training camp with the Titans.
#9: Adam Dunn
2 of 10
Adam Dunn stands tall at 6'6 and weighs over 270, and is not someone I would want to go up against in any kind of fight. Dunn enjoys drinking beer in the off-season (during the season as well?) and i pity the fool who tries to disturb him when he's drinking.
#8: Adam Pac Man Jones
3 of 10
For a man who all but ruined his career because of his addiction to going to clubs and getting into disputes, he was a no brainier to make the list. Pac Man has been involved in just about everything, shootings, domestic violence and even professional wrestling. It's just a matter of time until Pac Man finds himself in the Headlines again for off field behavior.
#7: Alexander Ovechkin
4 of 10
Who wouldn't want a 6'2, 235lb Russian on their side in a bar fight? Ove is a true villain on the ice, and he never shy's away from contact or a big hit. Love him or hate him you have to respect his toughness and willingness to take on anyone. Maybe someday we will get to see him and Crosby fight...
#6: Johny Gomes
5 of 10
Gomes is known around baseball as a guy who will always stick up for his teammates, and has no problems with throwing down to do so. Gomes is quoted as saying "Anytime I got in a squabble, it's having the back of my teammates," this is a guy who will always take care of those around him. If that power right to the head he is about to land on Coco Crisp is any indication of his fighting ability, He's in.
#5 Ray Lewis
6 of 10
How could anyone leave Ray Lewis off of a list like this? The guy is one of the most intense football players of the past decade and is built like a machine. He is an absolute animal on the field and is feared by most apposing players. To add to it, Lewis was arrested for the murder in 2000 after a post super bowl celebration. He got off with probation and was found not guilty, but still makes me cringe. I want him on my side!
#4: Ron Artest
7 of 10
I should not have to explain why Ron Artest gets on the list, anyone who has it in him to run in the stands and take on a whole arena deserves to be ranked Top 5. Artest has been involved in many altercations throughout his career, none as big as that night in Detroit where Artest took fighting in the NBA to a new level.
#3: Gilbert Arenas
8 of 10
Not going to lie, this one here was a toss up between Plaxico Burress and Gilbert Areans. I had to give the nod to Areans because as they both apparently carry heat wherever they go, Arenas never shot himself while doing so. Also, Arenas likes to carry mulitple weapons wherever he goes compared with Plaxico who perfers to stick with one.
#2: Floyd Mayweather Jr.
9 of 10
Money Mayweather comes in at #2, who would not want his lighting quick punches fighting with them in a bar fight? We have all seen what Mayweather does to his opponents in the ring, imagine what he would do to a drunk one outside of it? He could knock a bar goer down, without even spilling his drink. Cheers.
#1: Brock Lesnar
10 of 10
No real surprise here, the picture speaks for it's self, Brock is the scariest man on the planet right now which makes this an easy selection. Brock has the size and attitude to be worthy of the top spot, the biggest problem with Brock's fighting career is finding people who actually have a chance against him.
