5 Reasons Seattle Doesn't Deserve A Basketball Team
Since 1979 the Seattle Supersonics are one of only 9 NBA franchises to win an NBA championship. Their storied tradition provided lasting memories for generations until the team abruptly uprooted and moved away from the Emerald City in 2008. The sad truth is that Seattle fans have displayed an apathetic attitude in regards to bringing professional basketball back to the city and act as if they don't care if the NBA ever returns. Here are my top 5 reasons Seattle doesn't deserve a basketball team.
Seattle doesn't miss Kevin Durant enough.

Nobody misses KD. From what I've seen Seattle is completely indifferent about what Kevin Durant accomlished last season. He led his team to the #6 seed in the west, averaged 30 points a game, scoered at least 25 points in 29 straight games and he's only getting better. Anybody care? Anybody mad they don't get to witness this? Can you imagine if Cleveland drafted Lebron James and then moved the team to Topeka, Kansas 2 years later?
Emerald Green is too easily replaced with Lime Green

How can a team that's been in existence for less than 3 years be more popular than the only team to ever bring Seattle a championship? The MLS is not the NBA.
James Taylor, Billy Joel, and HHH

Seattle seems perfectly content to be entertained by singers in their 60's and roid raged wrestlers as opposed to Lebron, Kobe, D Wade, and oh did I mention Kevin Durant?

Seattleites have decided Portland is close enough to root for the Trailblazers and they are no longer Seattle's arch nemesis. Plus Uncle Paul owns them and Seattle fans are forever in his debt for saving the Seahawks.
The wheels aren't in motion

Nobody's building a new arena, nobody's rennovating an old one, and nobody's looking for money to do either. Seattle doesn't miss basketball enough to come up with a plan on how to get it back.
