Carmelo Anthony: What The All-Star Means for Each Team

Carmelo Anthony reportedly wants out of Denver. Whether these reports are true or not, it's quite obvious that Anthony isn't satisfied of getting ousted in the first round every year.

This slideshow presents each possible team for Carmelo. Even though some are unlikely we still can't count them out (did anyone think Lebron would go to the Heat a year ago?)

If he goes to the team via trade or free agency, I'll break down what he makes each team if he arrives there.

I will also predict if Carmelo comes to the team next season, how their season will end. These are my predictions, not yours, as I can't possibly make everyone happy.

New Jersey Nets

The New Jersey Nets are among the one in the bottom of the Carmelo sweepstakes its still a possibility. They would probably have to trade Devin Harris, and maybe one or two up and coming stars and a draft pick.

Or they can get him in free agency. The team is moving to Brooklyn, where Melo was born, but I don't think that will be that influential in his decision. He could be part of a good tandem of Melo and Lopez.

However, if Carmelo joined the team next season, I couldn't really see them more talented than the Denver team last season.

Season Result: First Round Exit

Houston Rockets

This is another bottom dweller in the Carmelo sweepstakes. Reports have mentioned the Rockets as a possibility. Houston has a bunch of tradable assets.

They'd probably have to lose Aaron Brooks, which would probably hurt a lot given that Kyle Lowry doesn't develop into a star. Though with a different K-Mart and Yao Ming possibly returning, this team can make a splash.

Season Result: Second Round exit

Orlando Magic

Alas we are graced by another bottom dweller. However if this were to happen, the Magic could be extremely dangerous.

Carmelo Anthony can shoot the 3, like everyone else, but he has an excellent midrange and post game which can boost the Magic's front line.

They'd probably have to get rid of Vince Carter or another huge contract of theirs.

Call me crazy, but that Magic team could win a title and take down Miami.

Season Result: NBA Finals (might win)

Miami Heat

Just kidding. I just need to put Miami in there so you Heat fans won't freak in the comments. There's no way in hell you guys will get Carmelo. You already have three superstars.

Though it would be funny if he did go to Miami.

Chicago Bulls

Carmelo is also rumored to be considering the Chicago Bulls. It makes sense because the Bulls are a young team that will be contending for a title for many years to come.

Chi-town would probably have to get rid of Luol Deng but I don't know what else they'd offer. Maybe a lot of first round picks as well.

Just thinking about Carmelo, Boozer, and Joakim Noah in the post is crazy. It will be like Texas (Illinois) torture.

This team could definitely make the finals, but probably not next season.

Season Result: Conference Finals Exit

New York Knicks

We're finally here. The slide you guys probably skipped to. The New York Knickerbockers.

The Knicks are Carmelo's preferred destination as he enjoys New York and his newlywed wife LaLa wants to jump start a career in the entertainment industry.

The assets of the Knicks aren't exactly what the Nuggets want however. They are preparing to give Danilo Gallinari, Eddy Curry, and their 2014 first round pick. They will probably have to also give up Wilson Chandler.

The Knicks are also flexible under the cap for next offseason (ala Eddy Curry) and are known to be able to make smart trades to give them lots of cap room. Carmelo would have to wait until next season.

But if Carmelo landed in New York for next season, it would give the Knicks a fantastic starting five in Felton, Azubuike, Anthony, Randolph, Stat (D'Antoni's system does not need a true center).

This could be a team that could contend in future years and would only keep getting better barring injury. They will definitely surprise and upset next season.

Denver Nuggets

Or he could just stay put in Denver for at least for one more season. He will keep his drive focused so he can win a title with the group he has now.

The Nuggets have a big challenge ahead of them, but Carmelo Anthony is an excellent player. He knows Billups is hungry for another title and will work themselves until success.

However, the Nuggets winning a title is very unlikely. I think for Carmelo Anthony to stay in the Mile High city, the Nuggets will have to make the conference finals and take it to at least six games.

But the important thing for them is keeping their superstar.

Season Result: Who Cares? You still have Melo.
