Let’s take a look at the top five fights/brawls in the history of Miami sports.
5. Heat vs. Celtics 2010 NBA Playoffs (Richardson vs. Garnett)
In game one of a 2010 playoff matchup between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, the Heat’s Quentin Richardson and the Celtics Kevin Garnett got into a little scrap. The outcome was a Garnett ejection and a suspension for game two, which didn’t end up helping Miami whatsoever, as the Celtics went on to win the series in five games.
4. Heat vs. Bulls 1997 NBA Playoffs (Mourning vs. Rodman)
Dennis Rodman probably is the record holder for NBA scraps and fights. This time it was against Alonzo Mourning in the 1997 Eastern Conference Finals. This is just another case of Rodman being Rodman, trying to intimidate his opponent.
3. Dolphins vs. Patriots 2008 (Crowder vs. Light)

2. Miami vs. Florida International 2006
The award for biggest brawl in Miami sports history goes to the Hurricanes and Golden Panthers of the 2006 season. The two universities are just miles and apart and will forever be mentioned in college football history for this wild game. An outrageous 31 players were suspended for the melee , which included the Canes’ Anthony Reddick, who took off his helmet are proceeded to beat opposing players with it.
1. Heat vs. Knicks Late 90s
There was a no more intense rivalry than Heat-Knicks in NBA history. Their battles of the late 1990s were filled with passion, physicality, and above all, an intense hatred of each other. It seemed every year they would be matched up in the playoffs, and at some inevitable point in time, punches would be thrown.
