A Letter to Lebron James: Enough Is Enough!

Dear Lebron James...I know you are a fantastic basketball player and many people would love to be in your position to make about $100 million playing a game.

You are having a "prime time" special on your decision on where to play this season and probably the next four seasons. But who cares?

It's big time television and it's all about you. Like many other sports stars, it's all about YOU! An hour of nothing but Lebron.

Well, truthfully, you appall me with your great star power. But you aren't alone.

Making nearly $20 million a year and you have to rub it in the faces of us "little guys" who are going to end up paying your ridiculous salary, and many others like you, one way or another.

Has there ever been a star who is having a national telecast on where they are going to sign? Not that I can recall.

But what irritates me is there are a lot of people in a lot of trouble financially in America and around the world. Where you make your next $100 million isn't really important to me and many others, as much as you might think.

Sit back a realize the huge Gulf of Mexico oil spill that has disrupted and ruin the lives of many people...whether in the fishing business, or some other venture along the shore. They are wondering where their next meal might come from.

And our servicemen across the world, who are underpaid and protecting us. They are heroes, not you.

The doctors, police and firemen who save lives daily. Heroes.

All the poor and starving kids in the United States and all around the world.

I could go on.

And all the money you are going to make on jerseys, sneakers, etc. I am sure they are going to be overpriced and parents are going to be pressured by their children to get them because of you and your greed to make even MORE cash!!!

Yeah, it might be nice to make $100 million over the next five years...living in a great penthouse, staying at five-star hotels, just living the great life.

But do you have to "show off" about your decision on national television and make your choice seem like it's an event that the world is going to stop and take notice. It's all about YOU, Lebron....all about YOU!!!

Many people are going to stop and watch your circus.

Unfortunately, your greed and TV show is a slap in the face to many of us hard working people. Nice to be able to gloat about your success.

Oh yeah, how's that college degree coming along...spend some money on that and see how hard it is to compete in the real world. Come back to reality.

$100 million...geez, I can only dream and hope. But I guess I am happy just being able to make ends meet.

But with your salary along with Chris Bosh's and Dwyne Wade, somebody is going to have to pay those high ticket prices...Guess what, it isn't going to be us working people. It's gonna be you well-paid executive who'll use the tickets as a tax right off and it will just kill the middle class guy a bit more.
