Big 12 Basketball 2010-2011 Preview
The Big 12 came so close to falling apart, but they're still here, and they will be one of the top conferences come next season with all of the top five teams having a chance to have a very special season.
With that said, here are my top five teams for the 2010-2011 basketball season.
1. Kansas- With the loss of Xavier Henry, they're going to be a young team. However, Kansas is always talented. They bring in one of the nation's top guards in Josh Selby and will still be atop the Big 12.

2. Baylor- Tweety Carter and Ekpe Udoh are gone, however there's no doubt that they have the talent to play at the top of this conference. With LaceDarius Dunn returning, they can make a lot of noise this year.
3. Texas- Even though last year wasn't great, you still have to remember that they are loaded with young talent. Avery Bradley is gone, but it won't hurt them too much. Like I said, any team in this top five has a chance at winning the conference, and Texas is no different.
4. Kansas State- With Jacob Pullen returning, he has a chance to be the conference player of the year. Also, all the young, talented players who didn't get as much playing time last year have had a year to blossom and will step in to fill holes that will be missing after the loss of Denis Clemente.
5. Texas A&M- I've learned to never bet against them being in the hunt for the Big 12. They will always be a team that's in the middle of the pack, and I expect no different from them this season. They have a chance at a top 25 ranking and will be in the tournament come March.
