Stephen Strasburg Continues Dominance; Nats Fall in 11
Strasmas, the proclaimed holiday every fifth day on the Washington Nationals' schedule, returned to the nation's capital for a game against the Chicago White Sox. Rookie sensation Stephen Strasburg took the mound following a 5.1 inning, one run, eight strikeout performance against the Indians last Sunday.
With the President in attendance at Nationals Park, Strasburg picked up right where he left off. He fanned 10 in seven innings of work, giving up only four hits and surrendered one run in the opening inning.
Through his three starts, Strasburg has thrown 19.1 innings, given up only four runs on 10 hits, struck out an astounding 32 batters, and notched two wins.

The young pitcher recorded his first no-decision against the White Sox on Friday night. It wasn't until the bottom of the seventh, after it was decided that Strasburg's night was done, that the Nationals tied the game at 1-1 on an Adam Dunn double that plated Ryan Zimmerman. Unlike his other starts, the run support just wasn't there this time.
For his second straight home start, Nationals Park recorded a sell-out crowd. It's only the third sell-out of the season, the other game being Opening Day.
Despite the Nationals tying the game in the late innings, nothing else would come of it. The White Sox scored the game winner in the top of the 11th to take game one of the three game series.
Strasburg's next scheduled start is Wednesday, June 23 against the Kansas City Royals.
