Paul 'Fierce' Pierce Back Home in Cali to be Crowned?

If you’re the current NBA defending champion Los Angeles Lakers, being back in California means that you’re about to play Game 6 of the 2010 NBA Finals at the Staples Center. And much like two years ago, this game will probably end in your elimination.

Of course the Staples Center is in LA, and not Boston.  But how could you forget that 39-point Game 6 loss of two years past?  Where the Celtics clinched their 17th title and Pierce was named MVP?  

For good measure you will face that same team: The Boston Celtics.  You also know that they damn well can win on your home floor like they’ve already proven earlier in this series.

By now you've heard of all these impressive playoff stats, but try this one:  The Celtics are 11-0 whenever they lead an NBA Finals Series 3-2.

Yes, this may not be Florida, but California is now feeling the heat, as this is the very first time their Lakers team is trailing an opponent in these playoffs.  Things aren't looking up as #34 and his Celtics are back home in California with not one, but two chances at securing Celtics championship banner #18.

Many have been waiting for a signature game from the Celtics captain in these 2010 NBA Finals.  If Pierce's last sequence of plays in the Game 5 win against the Lakers was an indication of his dedication and determination, then Kobe Bryant, King James, and the rest of the basketball world will be witnessing the crowning of Paul 'Fierce' Pierce in his California hometown.
