NBA Finals 2010: There Can Only Be One!
The 2010 NBA Finals have finally arrived. With 28 teams eliminated only 2 still stand. I know we all wanted a LeBron and Kobe match-up but this is what the NBA is all about, and that is bringing back old rivalries. The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. Everybody is pumped up and ready for it to begin! Especially from hearing the "Beat L.A" chants, or "Boston Sucks" as a fan of the game you got to love it.
Its going to be a physical and exciting series, but this time L.A gets revenge. Yes Boston has been playing well on the road, but in the Finals its a whole new ball game. The last time they played in 2008, L.A had no one to guard Paul Pierce. L.A had Luke Walton and Vladimir Radmanovic. Trevor Ariza was barley coming back from injury and Andrew Bynum wasn't even playing. Now this time the situation is a little different.
Rajon Rondo has evolved into a above average point guard, from 2 years ago. And Boston's Bench has stepped up. But the difference is Boston is a little older and slower. Lakers aren't at full throttle themselves. Bynum is playing hurt and everybody is a little injured.
In the season series the teams split at 2 games a piece. And the deciding outcome was by 1 point. With one of those match-ups Kobe wasn't even playing. Kobe is playing out of this world this year in the playoffs. He has no sign of slowing down. I give L.A the advantage in this series because 1. Home court plays a huge factor, no matter how much the opposing team is playing. 2. Ron Artest, this is the whole reason why we acquired Ron, to guard a Paula Pierce, to guard a Ray Allen. 3. Andrew Bynum, even though he is playing on 1 leg, those little 20 min he plays will be a big factor to stand up against those feisty Celtics. and 4. Of course the Black Mamba averaging like 30+ points in the past 9 playoff games. Move over Boston L.A is taking it this year.
I predict L.A. in 6 but I wouldn't be surprised if it went 7. L.A I see another parade in the distance, and you know me I'll be there. Back to Back champs baby, although it should be a 3-peat but that's going to have to wait until next year.
When Black Mamba wins his 5th ring, then the talks about MJ will start to heat up, and if KB24 gets his 6th ring, then well you know whats going to happen.
