Kendrick Perkins Why Are You So Angry?

Kendrick Perkins why are you so angry?  Every time I watch a Celtics game, you’re always arguing with the refs and looking so pissed off when you’re sitting on the bench.  And then last night, you go and get yourself two technical fouls, getting ejected from the game, and suspended for Game Six since you’ve had seven technicals this post season.  Granted, your second technical last night was a little suspect, but it still wasn’t as bad as Mark Buehrle’s ejection.  Either way, if you have a technical already, just walk away quietly.  It’s that simple.  Getting ejected before half time really put your team in a big hole.  Not only are you the C’s starting center and enforcer, but your team was losing in Orlando at the time of your ejection.  With Glen Big Baby Davis taking elbows to the face in the paint as well, you could really be used in Game Six.  I guess that’s why they say you live and learn.

If you had stubbed your toe earlier in the day and it was still hurting come game time, or if they messed up your sandwich order at the deli, it’s understandable that you’d be a little ticked off.  I know, I’ve been there too.  But business is business.  Just because your fantasy baseball team isn’t doing well doesn’t mean you should take that frustration with you on the court.  In fact, you actually have a lot of things going for you, and I’ve compiled a list of some of those things for you to think about next time you feel the need to yell at a ref.

• You’re the starting center for the Celtics (Glad the Grizzlies traded you on draft day? There are a lot worse teams you could be on!)
• You had the best year of your career this year and you’re averaging a double-double in the 2010 playoffs
• You’re making $4.25 million this year
• You look great in green and white
• You have a NBA championship ring to wear (LeBron doesn’t even have one of those!)

These reasons are just a few of many as to why you don’t have to be so angry anymore.  Next game I want to see those pearly whites!  And hopefully for you, the likes of Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett can bail you out and make it so that next time you’re on the court flashing that great smile of yours will be Game One of the NBA Finals.

UPDATE – Perkins’ second technical foul rescinded, and he will be eligible to play in Game Six.  Yet another reason for him to be happier on the court!
