Zach Randolph Indicated In Indiana Drug Bust

Marcus ShockleyMay 26, 2010

The initial reports, if true, could spell deep trouble for Memphis big man Zach Randolph, who, according to the Fox affiliate in Memphis, TN, has been implicated in a drug bust.

This isn't just a case of knowing the wrong person or having someone in your circle who has an unsavory side. According to the report:

"A stake out on a suspected drug house two weeks ago led to 32 year old Arthur Boyd being pulled over in a Cadillac Escalade. The vehicle had marijuana and ammunition inside, and was registered to Randolph."

Police followed the car, registered to Randolph, to a storage facility that had four units rented by Randolph.

According to police, their police dogs located "controlled substances" in two of the four lockers.

This does not mean that Randolph is directly involved, and hopefully that will be the case, but his involvement is eerily similar to that of Michael Vick, where deeds, ownership and money all point to a pro athlete.

Considering that Randolph has already had several run-ins with law enforcement, it is not like he's going to get kid glove treatment as the story unfolds.
