Without LeBron James, What Will the Cavaliers Look Like?

Having essentially all the core guys locked up contractually for at least another year and without any draft picks, the Cavaliers are basically stuck in a very awkward position.

It only keeps getting worse with the looming LeBron issues as the free agency deadline of July 1 draws near.

Even with Shaquille O’Neal's, Zydrunas Ilgauskas', and LeBron James’ salaries coming off the books (at roughly $28 million combined), that still leaves little wiggle room for the Cavaliers. Sebastian Telfair also has a player option that he can pick up for $2.7 million.

So the question has to be answered: What will the Cavaliers look like without King James?

When you look at a lineup like this on paper, it is a team truly built around LeBron James.

Everyone, including myself, has been enamored with the mystery behind the King’s departure. I had to stop and think about his absence from the Cavaliers.

This would really be horrible for the city of Cleveland.

And just think, what superstar free agent would want to go play in Cleveland?

LeBron is the greatest player in the world and he couldn’t bring the Larry O'Brien Trophy back to Cleveland. What makes anybody else not named Kobe believe they can do better?

The damage to the Cleveland franchise will never be undone. I almost could say the same about the city itself.

The millions and millions of dollars owner Dan Gilbert stands to lose with the absence of LeBron James is surely keeping him awake at night.

With the King not present for duty, what does a reeling Cleveland franchise and city do?
