Hedo Turkoglu: "I Am Unhappy With Toronto"

Yup. You read the title right.

Hedo Turkoglu complained to a Turkish newspaper recently that he was unhappy with the Toronto Raptors.

That's pathetic. That's all I can say.

After getting a huge paycheck from the Raptors, and giving a crappy effort in the regular season, the least you can do is shut up.

But Turkoglu goes and complains to the newspaper.

He said "Not much to talk about the season. I am sad. You play in NBA finals, score most on your team, carry your team, sign a good contract, so expectations were high.

"When you are not that successful, it affects you a lot naturally. There are reasons behind this, I can talk about these reasons all day long. Of course I had mistakes, but the club also had mistakes."

Trying to escape from questions about why he is not happy, he said "I signed a good contract and all eyes were on me, there were false news coming out about me.

"Some of it had little truth in them. I am so unhappy. I am totally unhappy at Toronto Raptors. Especially about the things happened near the end of the season. Let's finish here for now, if we meet again, I will explain detail what I had to live through."

Of course this was all in Turkish, but was translated word for word, and gives the idea that he isn't exactly ecstatic about playing with the Raptors.

What I find most unbelievable about this whole situation is that it's not the Raptors complaining about Hedo, it's Hedo complaining about the Raptors.

The fans in Toronto had high expectations that Hedo could help out Chris Bosh and give him a good reason to stay with Toronto, but he put up a terrible season.

At least you can pretend you are trying to earn your paycheck, instead of going back home and crying to the media.

You come to the Raptors training camp unfit, and put up a terrible season. And to think we might get stuck with this guy for four more seasons.

Instead of taking the blame, he blames the team. Just grow up Hedo.
