Cleveland's First Casualty? Cavaliers Coach Mike Brown Likely To Be Fired

The fallout from losing the biggest game in franchise history has just begun.

According to SI.com, the Cleveland Cavaliers have fired the man who has led the team to a 272-138 regular season record since 2005.

Brown's worst season at the helm of the Cavaliers came in 2007-2008 when the team finished 45-37.

Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert has denied the report of SI.com and has instead said that Mike Brown and the entire Cavaliers organization is being evaluated over the next 7-10 days.

However, there have been reports of Mike Brown cleaning out his office and leaving the Cavaliers facility today.

Many people have been calling for the firing of Mike Brown for over a year, citing his inability to out coach opponents as his biggest downfall.

Brown's coaching deficiencies were never more apparent than in the series against Boston this year.

His rotations couldn't match-up, the team was falling apart, and Brown couldn't keep his superstar, LeBron James, pointed in the right direction.

The firing of Brown could be the first positive step in retaining James.

During his post game interviews, it seemed as if LeBron was highly upset with the offensive and defensive game-plans that Brown was cooking up, and he made it a point to emphasize that the Boston Celtic's coaches were doing it better.

Plain and simple, LeBron wanted Mike Brown out, and he may get his wish.
