2010 NBA Playoffs: Not a Time for Apathy

Jack MinnesotaMay 13, 2010

That is the only term I can think of to describe what happened in that mess. Here I thought Game 5 was depressing? LeBron James, what was the deal? So many points in the game left me: saying what is that?

Some points that stand out; he had an open lane to the basket and literally had to wait five seconds of wide open space to the cup to finally go in with a half-hearted dunk. How bout when LeBron was at the line as the fans were chanting New York Knicks, and he missed one. How about watching Mo Williams get sick of waiting for LeBron to wake up and finally trying to do it himself.

How about when Mike Brown was screaming at his team to foul and his team IGNORED him, blew him off, and DISRESPECTED him on national television.

And how about when Glen Davis was about to fall on his ass and LeBron gave him a friendly bear hug and held him up. It's the playoffs!!! You are not friends with the other team. How about when LeBron literally fed Rasheed Wallace a perfect pass in the lane in the final minutes.

How about when a three-on-one came down and LeBron could have made a huge statement with a stop, but instead watched Kevin Garnett throw it down in his face. Lastly, as he leaves, he high fives Celtics fans, gives them his head band. What words were exchanged between Garnett and James? I was trying to read his lips, something there wasn't right.

Yes the stat line for LeBron was great. He played well for most of the game. But he didn't force the issue. Yes he drained some threes, but he was just lobbing up shots; he didn't even show emotion when he hit them.

LeBron keep passing the ball to your teammates when they are waiting for you to wake up, and you will never win the big one. LeBron immediately untucked his Cavs jersey and looked like he wanted to take it off, but realized he couldn't in the midst of everything. Once he hit the tunnel the jersey was off. Mike Brown, I am truly sorry. LeBron, when were you planning on waking up?
