Let the Summer Begin: The LeBron James Free Agency Watch Has Begun

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Lebron James Watch is officially under way.

The anticipation of the 2010 Free Agent Period began moments ago, after the top seeded Cleveland Cavaliers were eliminated by the Boston Celtics.

Cleveland ends the series losing three straight games, and the questions will begin to rise.

Here is what can be guaranteed. The James watch will overtake everything in sports. The NHL Playoffs, NFL minicamp, along with the Brett Favre watch.

Late in the fourth quarter, Celtics fans began chanting " New York Knicks", " New York Knicks".

Nothing is a forgone conclusion in the eyes of Lebron James.

He has so many reasons to stay with his hometown team, and has so many reasons to take a new path in his career.

Did you get sick of hearing angle of Lebron's Game Five performance analyzed? Well, about the time July 1st comes around, you will either throw your TV out the window, or simply not paying attention to the media of any sort.

Certainly, it doesn't look great for Cleveland. The Cavs ended the season on a low note, quitting within the final minutes of the game.

People questioned if Lebron lost his intensity after the Game Five debacle.

On Friday, get ready to hear a full outburst. May 14th will simply be Lebron Friday. It will be 24/7 talk of James, who can headline the anticipated deep free agent class of 2010.

First, you'll hear from radio shows everywhere what went wrong for Cleveland. If you toon in on ESPN First Take, Skip Bayless will be wearing his LBJ boxers ( no joke), as he rips the ringless king on live television.

You will also hear every possible option for Lebron. The likely destination seems to be the New York Knicks, or Jay Z's team in the New Jersey ( Brooklyn) Nets.

Will Lebron pick the bright lights of New York over a winning caliber club?

We already know what the back page of the Daily News will be tomorrow morning. If it isn't Lebron James put in a Knicks home jersey, I won't know what to expect.

All I know is, get ready for a long summer from the media that will make your life exciting.

The Lebron James Watch officially begins, as we will soon witness if an old chapter will close, and a new chapter will rise in number 23's career.
