Numbers Don't Lie? – Boston's Own Rajon Rondo.
When your coach describes your latest individual performance (this coming on the heels of your team’s worst ever home playoff loss) as “absolutely sensational” and the King (whom you’ve just competed against, one known for his power as much as his grace except of course in defeat) as “unbelievable”…you know you’ve just achieved something of great magnitude basketball-wise.
Indeed.
Rajon Rondo became the third player in playoff history to register at least 29 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
Oscar Robertson had 32 points, 19 rebounds and 13 assists in a playoff game in 1963.
Wilt Chamberlain had 29 points, 36 rebounds and 13 assists in a playoff game in1967
Rajon Rondo had 29 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists in a playoff game in 2010.
Therefore:
................will have 26 points, 35 rebounds and 13 assists in a playoff game in 2014 ?
( he – he )
or:
..............would have had (that is if one is a MAYAN). 2012…..end of days…..remember?
( not funny )
Back to Rajon. So what ? you say.
Ha….Hard to please like someone I know and I don’t mean behind closed-doors.
Like the King and the coach I’m very impressed but for you, dear insatiable hoop mate here’s another Rondo stat that might get you to add your vocal contributions to the Boston Garden chants of “M.V.P…..M.V.P….MVP”:
Rondo is second on Boston's career list for postseason triple-doubles (4) to only Larry Bird, he leader with 10.
Rarefied air or what ? Please Rondo….stop…..you’re hurting us..
- “M.V……
- Now that’s very impressive considering you never thought you could sing my friend.
And currently one win away from the 2010 NBA Eastern conference
Finals, Boston’s Own Rajon Rondo.
Maybe after all, numbers don’t Lie. Maya Dorcil.
