The Oklahoma City Thunder must’ve felt like they won their version of the Super Bowl on Thursday night. After all, they knocked off the Los Angeles Lakers, the defending NBA World Champions during a great fourth quarter that saw F Kevin Durant further solidify himself as a legitimate superstar in this league. However, the bottom line here is that the Thunder still has to find three more wins against Los Angeles to be able to win this series and move on to the second round. That’s going to be an incredibly tough task, as Oklahoma City has only beaten the Lakers twice SU since moving from Seattle, and it has yet to post a win at the Staples Center (at least when the court is being used for the Lakers). The Thunder are a very impressive home team, going 23-19 ATS including the win and cover in Game 3. The Lakers may have only been a 17-24-1 ATS team this year away from home, but it wasn’t any better at home either (17-24-2). That doesn’t mean that the champs aren’t going down without a fight.
