Fantasy Hoops Waiver Wire Bin Vol. 7

Ryan LesterDec 21, 2009

I’ve scoured the fantasy basketball waiver wires to find gems so you don’t have to.

Quentin Richardson, SG/SF, Miami Heat

Q is really dialed in from long range since returning from a hamstring injury. He made 10 of 14 three-pointers in his past two games. He averaged 16.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 0.5 steals in those games while shooting 68.8 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from the line.

Richardson is owned in 13 percent of Yahoo! and 1.9 percent of ESPN leagues.

Ersan Ilyasova, SF/PF, Milwaukee Bucks

Ersan continues to produce for the Bucks. He averaged 18.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.7 three-pointers last week. Despite his continued success, Ilyasova is owned in just 56 percent of Yahoo! and 30.9 percent of ESPN leagues.

Chris Andersen, PF/C, Denver Nuggets

The Birdman continues to pound the glass and send opponents' shots into the expensive seats. Last week he averaged 9.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. He also added 7.3 points, 0.5 assists, and 1.3 steals while shooting 44.4 percent from the floor and 81.3 percent from the charity stripe.

Andersen is owned in 62 percent of Yahoo! and 14.5 percent of ESPN leagues.

Omri Casspi, SF/PF, Sacramento Kings

Omri averaged 15.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 1.3 three-pointers last week. He shot 46.3 percent from the field and 87.0 percent from the line.

Casspi is owned in 16 percent of Yahoo! and 3.7 percent of ESPN leagues.

Rasual Butler, SG, Los Angeles Clippers

Butler averaged 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 2.5 three-pointers last week. He shot 48.9 percent from the floor and 87.5 percent from the line.

Butler is owned in nine percent of Yahoo! and 0.4 percent of ESPN leagues. I wouldn’t start him in a weekly fantasy league, but he’s worth using in daily transaction leagues.
