Luka Scores 52 as Lakers Beat Jazz, Box Score Stats, Highlights for Peterson, Kessler, Ace, More
Luka Dončić may not be Michael Jordan, but he's pretty damn good nonetheless.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar had himself a game on Sunday, putting up a 52-point, 10-assist double-double in his team's 132-123 win over the Utah Jazz.
Here's a look at the box score from the game's key performers:
| Player | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK |
| Luka Dončić, LAL | 52 | 8 | 10 | 2 | 0 |
| Austin Reaves, LAL | 29 | 1 | 4 | 1 | 2 |
| Walker Kessler, LAL | 2 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 1 |
| Darryn Peterson, UTA | 8 | 3 | 2 | 3 | 1 |
| Lauri Markkanen, UTA | 28 | 6 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| Jaren Jackson Jr., UTA | 20 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| Ace Bailey, UTA | 17 | 12 | 4 | 0 | 1 |
| Keyonte George, UTA | 24 | 9 | 10 | 1 | 0 |
Much to the chagrin of Yaxel Lendeborg, probably, Dončić was on one Sunday. He hit nearly as many threes (eight) as the entirety of Utah's roster (10).
The Jazz simply didn't have many answers for the Lakers' superstar:
Utah's offense did its best to keep up, however, led by Markkanen.
There were a ton of positives for Utah, but Peterson's somewhat slow start to his rookie campaign is perhaps the one area that will have Jazz fans feeling a bit antsy. Peterson contributed in other ways but had a rough shooting night (4-of-13) and didn't make a three.
Brighter days are ahead given his talent, however. And the Jazz have some legitimate options on offense, so Peterson doesn't need to be a superstar right out of the gate.
Dončić, on the other hand, very much remains very much a superstar. And the Lakers needed every last point and assist he could muster against a burgeoning Jazz team on Sunday.
The 3-0 Lakers will next host the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. The Jazz (1-2) will host the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.
