Steph Curry Says He, Draymond Green 'In Love' with Returning Warriors to Glory
March 15, 2021
The Golden State Warriors aren't as dangerous as they were in past seasons, but Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are working hard to get the team back into the playoffs.
Curry scored 32 while Green posted his second triple-double of the season in a 131-119 win over the Utah Jazz Sunday night.
"I think we've fallen in love with the challenge of getting back to winning basketball," Curry said of himself and Green after the game, per Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Curry and Green helped the Warriors reach the NBA finals in five straight years from 2015-19, winning three titles in this stretch. The team collapsed to the worst record in the league in 2019-20 after Kevin Durant left in free agency and Curry and Klay Thompson missed most of the year with injuries.
With Thompson still unavailable, it's been up to Curry and Green to get the squad back on track with a new supporting cast that includes Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins. The team enters Monday with a 20-19 record, just behind the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 8 seed.
