Bleacher Report Draft Expert Jonathan Wasserman's Scouting Report
Player: Josh Green
Position: SG/SF

Scouting Report: Josh Green will love the NBA's pace and space. His explosiveness should translate to exciting transition plays and drives through lanes. But he's also oozing with defensive potential fueled by lateral quickness, fundamentals and a live motor. Consistent shooting could turn Smith into a starting three-and-D wing.
He will help add depth to a roster that already features notable talent.

The Australia native was a 5-star recruit out of IMG Academy in Florida before making an early impact as a freshman at Arizona.
Green started all 30 games he played in 2019-20, averaging 12.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. He took over as the go-to option several times for the Wildcats on a team that also featured exciting prospects Nico Mannion and Zeke Nnaji.
The 6'6" wing also showcased impressive athleticism throughout the year while knocking down 36.1 percent of three-point shots.
"Josh Green is one of the most talented players that we have coached at Arizona," Wildcats coach Sean Miller said in a statement. "His athleticism and determination separate him from his competition, giving him an incredibly high ceiling as an NBA player."
This endorsement makes him an exciting prospect as he prepares for his professional career.
Green is still relatively raw with limited experience at a high level, but the 20-year-old has the tools to fill a significant role right away for the Mavericks while potentially developing into an impact player down the line.
With Dallas hoping to contend next season behind Luka Doncic, the latest pick could be an important addition.
